My home-brew paddle

This paddle is made from a leaf-switch which is the type of toggle switch that was used in old telephone switchboards. I removed the toggle part and used the remainder of the switch with its spring contacts.


I don’t remember where the white plastic pieces came from but they are epoxied to the end of the springs.


The whole is mounted on a brass plate that was once part of the case for a carriage clock. On the underside it has rubber feet at the corners.


The wires from the contacts are led to a stereo 3.5 mm jack hot-glued to the rear.
