The disassembled K2

The two knobs in the right-hand end are on/off/volume and frequency.

There is an internal 9 volt battery but also an input for an external power supply.

There is a small internal speaker situated under the knob.

The K2 comes apart easily with only the removal of screws that hold the case together plus two screws that secure the control board to the front panel.

Clockwise from the top-left are:

the RF board mounted on the base of the case

the top cover with speaker and automatic antenna tuner

the front panel that plugs into the RF board

the control board that pugs into the RF board
