The school itself - for me this is the bit that's most familiar - where the buses pulled up. Is that the kitchen on the other side of that wall? Can I smell the cooked breakfast wafting through the windows? I'm pretty sure that neither these lock-ups or the other ones in the next photo were there then.
Jeff (1948-1953): This photo brings back memories. What strikes me, though, is the fact that the lombardy poplar trees, usually a relatively short-lived species, are still there!
